TxDOT to close portions of William J. Bryan Parkway for paving
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – TxDOT says final surface paving operations along Will J. Bryan Parkway will start on Tuesday.
Because of paving and striping equipment, the roadway will see various closings throughout the next two weeks.
On Tuesday, the eastbound lanes from Texas Avenue to Sue Haswell Park will be closed. On Wednesday, the westbound lanes from 24th Street to Texas Avenue will be closed. On Friday, the eastbound lanes on the south side of Sue Haswell Park will be closed.
Then from February 26 through the 28, TxDOT says those sections will be closed as needed.
All closures will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. TxDOT says it is best to plan for extra travel time and find alternate routes during the closures.
TxDOT added that homeowners whose only access is William J. Bryan should try and avoid coming or going during the closure times, but if they need to leave they can ask a worker for assistance.
