TxDOT and City of Bryan announce detours and delays for William J. Bryan Parkway
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – TxDOT and the City of Bryan have announced that there will be detours and delays along William J. Bryan Parkway starting on Monday.
They said it’s because of paving operations and the installation of revised traffic patterns for new work zones. As they work on the road, the eastbound roadway will be closed on the park’s south side from North Haswell Dr. to June St. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Work on the West roundabout at William J. Bryan Pkwy and 24th St. on the west of Sue Haswell Park will also begin. The work is near the residential area between Freeman Ave. and East Villa Maria Rd. This could also cause delays.
TxDOT asked the public to plan for extra travel time and find alternate routes.
The construction along Will J. Bryan Pkwy from Texas Avenue to Texas 6 is expected to be completed in late 2024 or early 2024.
