Two arrested for shooting investigations in Bryan

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Two young men from Bryan are in custody after being arrested on charges linked to a pair of recent shooting investigations

Joshua David Peterson, 18, and Zanavian Zacorey Williams, 18, are each charged with two counts of Deadly Conduct by Discharging a Firearm.

Police say the two were involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred just after midnight on March 16 at a home in the 1100 block of Jordan Loop.

Officers recovered 17 shell casings at the scene and determined that the home and two vehicles outside the home were struck by gunfire.

Inside the house were three people including two juveniles, but nobody was injured.

Approximately three hours later, police responded to another shooting in the 1900 block of Pine Tree Drive where a dozen shell casings were found outside.

Police say shots were fired into an apartment on Pine Tree Drive but no one inside was injured.

In their arrest reports, police say the motive for the shootings may have been retaliation for other events that have recently occurred.
