Troopers find 120 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop
LEON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Texas Department of Public Safety says 120 pounds of marijuana were discovered during a recent traffic stop on I-45 in Leon County.
A statement from DPS says the driver was stopped on January 31st for speeding and operating a vehicle with only one license plate.
“A subsequent Probable Cause search revealed four large black trash bags containing marijuana inside the vehicle. The total weight is approximately 120 pounds,” said Sgt. Justin Ruiz.
Troopers say this is an ongoing investigation and did not immediately release the name of the driver.
