Treat of the Day: Blinn College Livestock Judging Team ranks number one

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Blinn College Livestock Judging team has just wrapped up their season and is ranked number one in the country among community colleges, according to livestockjudging.com.

The team won the prestigious Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, highlighted by three students among the top 10 individuals led by Blane Warnken’s second place.

Dax DeLozier placed 5th individually, placing 5th in reasons, 6th in sheep/goats, 8th in swine, and 11th in cattle.

Devyn Gaff placed 6th individually, 8th in reasons and 2nd in sheep/goats.

Kinsey Gardner placed 11th individually, placing 2nd in cattle and 9th in reasons.

In addition to Houston, Blinn competed in 15 livestock judging contests this season, placing in the top five each time.

The other first places the team snagged this season were at the Oklahoma National Swine Registry contest, the American Royal Livestock Judging Contest, the Griswold Cattle Classic, and the Top Notch Collegiate Swine Judging Contest.
