Train strikes car that was stuck on tracks near Downtown Bryan
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan Police Department is investigating a collision that occurred early Friday morning in the downtown area.
Police say a car became stuck on tracks and was struck by a train between South Parker Avenue and South Bryan Avenue.
The train came to a stop near the area of W. 27th Street and South Sterling Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
When police arrived the driver wasn’t at the scene.
Officers say the registered owner of the vehicle was arrested at another location and charged with public intoxication.
The incident remains under investigation.
