The Physicians Centre Hospital unveils knee surgery technology
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The future of knee replacement surgeries at The Physicians Centre Hospital is robotic.
The hospital unveiled the new technology on Wednesday called VELYS Robotic Assisted Solution which specializes in total knee replacements by using that uses camera technology to map out the patient’s knee alignment and range of motion, creating a more precise guide for surgeons to cut based on the patient’s anatomy.
Hospital officials said they’re the first in the Brazos Valley to perform robot-assisted total knee replacement surgery.
Dr. Rick Seabolt, an orthopedic surgeon who will be using this technology next week, said this will lead to better outcomes for patients overall.
