Texas A&M University cancels classes in response to CrowdStrike outage
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity tool used worldwide, is experiencing an outage and impacting Texas A&M University (TAMU).
In response, TAMU has decided to cancel classes on Friday, but the campus will remain open.
The university said, “The New Student Conference at our main campus will remain on schedule and the equipment and services needed should be prioritized with local IT departments.”
The CrowdStrike outage is said to not be a cyberattack, but a technical issue.
