Spherion extends scholarship deadline amid FAFSA delays

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting has chosen to extend the deadline for their national scholarship amid delays in FAFSA application processing.

The staffing agency has a local office in Bryan.

Students now have until May 31 to submit their application for the Sandy Mazur Scholarship, named after the longtime president of the organization.

This scholarship also depends on FAFSA data from its applicants, and with delays preventing students from accessing that information, Spherion made the decision to extend the scholarship deadline.

The original due date was in April.

”I love that we can offer it to our local individuals, and I certainly know there are deserving individuals. And I’m looking forward to reviewing all of those,” Katherine Kleeman, franchise owner of Spherion offices in Bryan, Brenham, Conroe and The Woodlands said.
