Sounds of Summer Concert series headed to Navasota this weekend

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – This weekend, The Texas Eagles Band will kick off the Navasota “Sounds of Summer” concert series with a tribute to one of the greatest rock bands in history.

Taylor Hughes, the Marketing and Communications Manager for the City of Navasota, told First News at Four on Wednesday that there is more to do than just the concert on Saturday.

“We’ll have food trucks there, so if you don’t get a chance to eat at one of our restaurants or stop at Patton’s Wine Shop before then, you can come on over, get some food, and enjoy the concert,” she said.

Hughes recommends bringing a lawn chair or blanket if you’re planning on attending.

“It is first come, first serve so you can come stake out your spot all day. Friday we will close the roads around 3:00 p.m. that afternoon,” she said.

The concert begins in front of City Hall in Navasota at 7 p.m. and is free to attend.
