Severe Thunderstorm WATCH for majority of the Brazos Valley until midnight
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – With an approaching cold front and ongoing severe weather to our northeast, A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for much of the area until midnight
Unlike yesterday’s watch, we think this one has a higher chance of verifying, with a couple strong storms expected later this evening. That said, this is still NOT a guarantee for severe weather in your neighborhood.
A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH is in effect until midnight Friday morning. The primary concern with storms is large hail.
If there are easy precautions you can take to protect property from hail, do so just in case. Hail will be the primary impact with the strongest storms, though strong wind and very heavy rain cannot be ruled out either. The good news is this severe threat winds down greatly after midnight and headed into the weekend.
