Several school closures and delays reported Thursday following storms, heavy rain

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) – Huntsville ISD has canceled classes Thursday following some heavy rain and storms overnight.

A post on the district’s Facebook page cited flooding across the district.

Leon ISD has also canceled Thursday classes. A post on Facebook reads, “Due to flooding and extremely dangerous road conditions, Leon ISD will be closed today, Thursday, May 2nd. We recommend our Leon ISD family stay home and stay safe.”

The following school districts will have delayed starts Thursday morning: Centerville ISD, Madisonville CISD, Normangee ISD, and Anderson-Shiro.
