Senior Sweethearts: Arts Council, community create Valentine’s cards for seniors
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Members of the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley spent their Valentine’s Day making cards for seniors.
Staff, along with several community groups, decorated and created handwritten cards for residents of Accel at College Station Nursing Facility.
“This is a chance to make a difference and brighten someone’s day today,” said Hailey Mallett, with the Arts Council.
Organizers said hosting this event aligns with the work the Arts Council does in the area.
“Our mission is to make art accessible in the Brazos Valley,” added Mallett.
Mallet says they plan to continue doing this event and apply the concept to other holidays.
