Registration open for nonprofits to participate in Brazos Valley Gives

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Registration is open now for nonprofits to benefit from Brazos Valley Gives, a 1-day online giving event.

2024 marks the 6th annual event. In the previous five years nearly $5 million has been raised to benefit Brazos Valley nonprofits.

“It brings the community together on one day to raise greater awareness for nonprofits in our community and also raise important funds for the quality of life needs of all those nonprofits work toward,” Community Foundation President Patricia Gerling said.

This year organizers hope to raise $1.5 million for 170 local nonprofits.

“We’ve already got 87 [nonprofits signed up] just since July first, so we’re here to welcome nonprofits 501(c)(3) nonprofits to participate,” Gerling said.

Nonprofits must be from Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, or Washington County and must guarantee that 100% of the money raised stays here in the Brazos Valley.

“We also invite education foundations and local school districts. We have a special grant that allows a two-for-one matching fund,” added Gerling. “We hope to have 11 districts involved this year.”

Nonprofit registration ends Friday, September 6. Nonprofits pay a $150 registration fee; nonprofits that have an endowment at the Community Foundation are eligible for a discounted $50 fee. Nonprofits that register by noon Friday, August 2 will be eligible for a $500 Early Bird Registration Prize.

Brazos Valley Gives day is Tuesday, October 15.
