Public invited to Voices for Children open house

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – May is National Foster Care Month, and Voices for Children is growing and needs more advocates.

The Voices for Children building is currently under construction, but plans to host a ribbon cutting and open house on Tuesday, June 25 at 4:30 p.m. Voices for Children is located at 115 N Main Street in Bryan.

You can support the mission of Voices for Children by becoming a Court-Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA.

CASA volunteers are everyday people who are committed to making a difference for children who might otherwise slip through the cracks in an overburdened foster care system.

To become a volunteer advocate, you first need to attend an information session.

Then you’ll need to submit an application and complete an interview. The interview is an opportunity for CASA staff to get to know you and learn more about why you want to be a CASA volunteer.

Applications must be submitted by May 28 to participate in the June 2024 pre-training class.
