Parent arrested at College Station elementary school
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A parent was arrested at a College Station ISD elementary school Wednesday morning.
In an email to families, the school district confirmed the incident happened when the parent was dropping a child off at a Summer Enrichment Camp at Creek View Elementary.
“This morning, a parent did not adhere to visitor protocol and refused to leave,” said the statement to families.
The school district says the parent, who was not identified in the message, then locked themself in a bathroom and refused to come out.
Campus security and administrators secured the building and contacted the police. The individual was arrested by College Station Police and removed from the school’s campus.
The school district says all the students were safe and the summer camp continued as planned.
