Multi-county high-speed chase ends in College Station, driver arrested
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Law enforcement arrested a 51-year-old man who took them on a multi-county high-speed chase Monday.
According to the Navasota Police Department, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office requested help finding a stolen Chevrolet Cruze traveling west on Highway 105 East out of Montgomery County.
Navasota police found the vehicle as it was entering city limits and tried to pull it over at the Highway 6 and Highway 105 intersection. The driver did not stop and accelerated as they entered Highway 6.
A chase involving Navasota police and Grimes County deputies ensued, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph, according to Navasota police. The chase continued into Brazos County, where DPS, College Station police and the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

The vehicle was spiked several times causing it to slow down, and it exited at University Drive.
The driver continued westbound down University Drive, where the pursuit ended at Wellborn Road at Luther Road.
The driver, Kevin Jackson, of Spring, was arrested and charged with evading in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, and possession of a controlled substance. He also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Montgomery County for resisting arrest.
