Montgomery County arrests caretaker for abusing person with disabilities

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested a caretaker and charged him with abusing a person with disabilities.

According to a release, Ruben Cano, 51, was arrested Tuesday in the Woodlands. The Sheriff’s Office spoke with the mother of the victim, who stated her son’s home healthcare provider assaulted her son.

Cano was arrested after an investigation and was charged with Injury of a Disabled Person, a third-degree felony.

Detectives are also looking for anyone else who may have been a victim of Cano’s while under his care by calling the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 760-5800 option 3 and referring to case #24A149685.
