Milam County arrests 26-year-old in connection to shooting injuring 2
MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – Milam authorities have identified a suspect in a shooting Thursday night.
In a release Friday afternoon, the Milam County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported Reginald England, 26, of Cameron was arrested in connection to a shooting which injured two people.
The Cameron Police Department (CPD) responded to a shots fired report around 7:30 Thursday night at the Cameron Associate Apartments, across from a grocery store. Deputies from MCSO took over the investigation a short time later.
Two victims were reportedly injured in the shooting and taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities said they sustained non-life threating gunshot wounds.
The suspect, later identified at England, was found in a nearby apartment. Deputies coaxed him out of the building over the phone.
Reginald England was placed under arrest and booked into the Milam County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
