Meet the Candidate: Fred Brown – Brazos County Commissioner, Pct. 3

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – We are less than a month away from the start of early voting.

One race some Brazos County voters will see on their ballot is the Precinct 3 Commissioners seat.

Nancy Berry (Incumbent) and Fred Brown are vying for the Republican nomination.

All the candidates will appear on News 3 at 6 this week.

Former State Representative and former College Station Mayor Pro Tem Fred Brown joined News 3 at 6 on Monday to discuss why he should be elected to the seat.

“Senior citizens now have a tax freeze on your homestead when you turn 65. I authored that legislation as your State Representative. Now, I’m taking the same fight to the Brazos County Commissioners Court. I’m fighting against the tax and spending mentality of our elected officials. I want to cut property taxes for families trying to put food on the table and hard-working business owners trying to keep the doors open. It’s a fight worth winning. Please join our team as we take this battle to the finish line,” said Brown.
