Man suspected of being involved in Bryan shooting now in custody
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A man suspected of being involved in a shooting is now in custody.
Wednesday afternoon, Brazos County Deputies pulled over a vehicle.
Police records show three people were in the car when it was pulled over, including Joshua Peterson, 20.
Officials realized there was an arrest warrant out for Peterson, and they called Bryan Police to the scene.
Deputies reported smelling marijuana, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the officers locating a THC vape pen.
Peterson was then arrested and booked on his warrant and for possession of a controlled substance.
Records say he became belligerent and started making vulgar comments once he was in custody, resulting in the officer requesting a higher bond, bond conditions, and a supervised bond release.
Bryan Police say they are still investigating the shooting and do not have any other updates at this time.
