Man sentenced to prison for aggravated robbery, burglary of a habitation
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) – A Walker County jury sentenced a man to 50 years and 25 years for aggravated robbery and burglary of a habitation.
Huntsville Police say Jack Turner assaulted a woman who was outside decorating her home for Christmas and then stole her purse.
Police were able to connect Turner to the assault through security footage plus a hair sample the woman was able to grab during the assault.
“I’m very proud of this woman who refused to go down without a fight and without knowing it provided such strong DNA evidence to get this man off the streets,” senior felony prosecutor Jennifer Jenkins said.
