Man sentenced to 12 years in prison for breaking into multiple storage units

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A Bryan man who broke into multiple storage units in Brazos County has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

On Wednesday, John Obanion, 39, of Bryan, was sentenced on several counts of Burglary of a Building.

According to the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, Obanion on two occasions broke into a storage facility in Wixon Valley in September 2023. He took a couple of TVs, a toolbox, a saw, and other personal items.

Prosecutors say Obanion has a history of theft and domestic violence.
