MADISONVILLE, Texas (KBTX) – On Saturday Thomas Dean, the Madisonville High School senior working to build animal shelters for the community, held his first outreach event for his nonprofit, Roofs for Rufus.
Guests had a barbecue, met dogs available for adoption, and learned more about his community service project.
He’s raising money to build 100 shelters for individual animals. So far, he’s at 29.
