BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Beryl made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane early Monday near Matagorda, and continues its northeastward track Monday. Beryl will weaken as it moves inland, but tropical storm force winds are still expected as it moves through the area, especially south and east.
Gusts 50mph+ in addition to flooding will be the main concern east of the Highway 6 corridor. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect until further notice, though conditions will steadily improve after about mid-afternoon.
Wind is slowly but surely picking up. Gusts to 35mph at Easterwood, 40mph in Navasota https://t.co/6kV4NDJPeU
