Leon County Sheriff’s Office makes arrest for alleged terroristic threat

LEON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – A man was arrested Wednesday after reports of threats being made on social media and over the phone.

On April 30, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call for service for threats made against government and local agencies. Officials say it was discovered that an individual was making posts on Facebook and phone calls that were threatening and alarming.

On May 1, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Leon County District Attorney’s Office, and the Oakwood Police Department, executed an arrest warrant on Roy Dewayne Ivy, 52, for Terroristic Threat, Felony 3.

Ivy was transported to the Leon County Jail without incident.
