Jane Long Intermediate on perimeter seal as police search for ‘juveniles with firearm’
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Bryan police confirmed Jane Long Intermediate is on a perimeter seal but say there is no threat to the school.
Monday afternoon, police said they are searching in the area of Bittle Lane and Grosebeck Street after they received reports of juveniles with a firearm. Officers are also directing traffic on Beck Street, but no roads are closed at this time.
“There are no threats to any nearby schools,” according to the police department’s social media.
They say as a precaution, Jane Long Intermediate was put on a perimeter seal. During a perimeter seal, classes continue as normal but no one is allowed in or out of the building.
Officers are in the area of Bittle Lane and Groesbeck Street for reports of juveniles with a firearm. Officers have set a perimeter while they attempt to locate the subjects.
