Hospitality expert shares ways to give Super Bowl parties a pop

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The countdown to the Super Bowl is on, and many people are gearing up to watch the game at home.

If you’re hosting, hospitality expert Jennifer Satterfield said there are small and inexpensive things you can add to elevate the night.

That includes adding color to your home décor, setting up a photo booth, making grab-and-go sweets and customizing cups to show team support.

Examples can be found below.

Home Décor

Red will be a prominent color at the Super Bowl, but you can mix it up at home.

Satterfield recommends adding pops of color with food, dish towels, floral arrangements, plates and utensils.

Photo booth

There will be a lot of action at Sunday’s game, and you can create picture-perfect moments at home with a photo booth.

You can use plastic tablecloths to cut stripes to form pompom-like figures.

They can be arranged using painter’s tape on a stand, like above. You can also attach them to the wall.

Buttercream Board

It can be easy to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth Sunday with a buttercream board.

Using a charcuterie board, form a football in the middle with buttercream icing and add sweets like brownies and cookies around it.

Your guests can grab the sweets and dip them in the buttercream.

Football Era Cups

Pop star Taylor Swift has been a prominent figure in the NFL, so Sunday can be a great time to show support for her and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Satterfield.

You can use Sharpies and acrylic paint pens to decorate red solo cups with football laces and a friendship bracelet.

The bracelets became popular during Swift’s Eras Tour.
