Hospice Happening raises funds for a good cause

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – People were rocking out at the Brazos County Expo Saturday all for a good cause.

Hospice Brazos Valley hosted Hospice Happening where those in attendance could roll the dice at the casino tables, try their luck at the silent auction, and enjoy dinner.

This year’s theme was Historic Route 66, the highway to Rock N’ Roll.

All the money raised will go toward supporting Hospice Brazos Valley patients and their families.

“The most important part is for our community to really understand that we are the only nonprofit, we have a lot of people in the community that say they are hospice, and they are, but they are for-profit organizations. We actually have to rely on the community to help support us and that’s why we believe it’s so important what we do, and we also believe everyone deserves wonderful care through their end-of-life journey and that’s what we do,” said the CEO of Hospice Brazos Valley, Lisa McNair.

Our very Sports Director Darryl Bruffett was the EMCEE for this year’s event.
