Grimes County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect who pulled out firearm during traffic stop
GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is investigating an officer-involved shooting Monday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
GCSO told KBTX a constable deputy made a traffic stop in the area of FMs 1696 and 39 moments before a suspect pulled out a pistol.
The officer then shot his firearm at the left front tire of the suspect’s vehicle before they drove off along FM 39. The driver eventually crashed not too far off and ran away on foot, as reported by the Navasota Examiner.
GCSO confirmed nobody was injured in this incident, and the suspect was arrested. Their identity has not been released at this time.
