Grimes County man sentenced for sexual assault and domestic violence

ANDERSON, Texas (KBTX) – A Grimes County man was sentenced Monday on charges of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old and later assaulting a pregnant woman.

Michael Oaks, 23, was sentenced to 10 years for the sexual assault and four years for the other assault. He will also have to register as a sex offender for life.

“We see too many sexual assault cases with similar facts to this one.  There are certain lines as an adult you just do not cross.  One of those lines is engaging in sexual behavior with underage children or teenagers.  Michael Oaks crossed that line and now he is headed to prison,” said Chief Investigator John Wren.
