Gogh Gogh Coffee closing one of its College Station locations

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The last day you can get coffee from Gogh Gogh on Texas Avenue is this Friday, February 23.

The company announced its closing of the location on Facebook. The business will close at 7 p.m. on Friday.

“From the moment we took over the space almost four years ago, we wanted to provide a place for students, colleagues, and friends to gather and enjoy having moments with people they value, with the mission of not losing a space the community needed during trying times,” the company wrote on social media. “However, as the years have progressed and costs have risen we find ourselves at the end of a very favorable lease, and an increase of rent we simply could find no way to absorb.”

You can still support the business, the location on Highway 6 will remain open.

The company says it plans to put more effort into its roasting operation.

“We have secured a new location that will serve as our roastery at 2151 Harvey Mitchell Pkwy and hope to have that open and operating by mid-March we have hopes that it will be a place for people to buy retail coffee and also serve as a place for coffee education and training future coffee roasters from the surrounding area.”
