From near and far A&M fans make the trek to the College World Series

OMAHA, Nebraska (KBTX) – Only one more sleep before Texas A&M takes the field against Florida in the College World Series.

The 12th Man has been crucial all season long and this weekend is no different.

Whether you’re from Texas or already in Nebraska A&M fans are making their way to Omaha, the baseball capital of the world.

Some are waiting for game day before they see the team, while other caught a glimpse of the Aggies at their off-site practice Friday morning.

Nikki Johnson graduated from A&M. Her husband is in the military and they’ve relocated outside Omaha.

They stopped by this morning’s practice and Saturday night will be their family’s first Aggie baseball game together.

“Because we move around so much we haven’t been able to take them to too many things, so getting the opportunity for them to experience the Aggie vibe is super awesome for us,” Nikky Johnson, Texas A&M Class of 2005 said. “Also just to see them in a normal setting.. we were showing them they’re just normal guys and doing silly tricks with their bats and laughing with their friends, and that’s fun because all we see is the very professional T.V view from the home.”

Another Aggie family saw the team bus go by when they were eating breakfast. They Googled the closest ball park and found the team practicing.
