Free Music Friday: Molly McDonald
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Growing up in the far suburbs of Illinois, country music enthusiast Molly MacDonald was deeply influenced by a diverse range of artists, from Fleetwood Mac to Dolly Parton.
McDonald made her way back to Texas just before she was a sophomore in high school, and she picked up a guitar later on.
“I’ve been picking that six-string guitar for about a year now,” said McDonald.
McDonald doesn’t have music out just yet, and before today, the song she performed, “Pretty Talk,” hadn’t been heard by anyone.
“I just graduated high school and I like to say I wrote that song out of all my high school experiences. There’s a lot of pretty talking going on. Things that get around in high school, the experiences we have, and we’re all just young and talking around. So this is this is a song about that,” she said.
