Free Music Friday: Billy King & the Bad Bad Bad
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad is American Rock and Roll, bringing edgy new energy to classic sounds of a familiar time seemingly lost.
Their band began with the founding members, Billy King and Riley Sklar, met here in the Brazos Valley at Texas A&M.
“{I} met Riley in college and then found the rest of the guys through mutual friends. Then we just kind of started jamming and making music and decided we wanted to really bring it to stage,” King said.
The song they played, Introspective Resolute, is the title for their album they have coming out in early October.
“It’s essentially about the internal reflection on where you’re at, where you’re aligning yourself with and how you want to present yourself to the world. And essentially it’s about honesty and vulnerability,” said King.
Their performance is tonight at the 101.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the band goes on at 11 p.m.
Tickets are $5 cash and $8 with card.
