Former nursing and rehab employee charged with assaulting patient

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The College Station Police Department has arrested a woman accused of assaulting an elderly patient at a nursing and rehabilitation facility earlier this year.

Treandranique Green was arrested on June 7 for the incident that allegedly occurred in February.

Police say they began investigating after the facility on Rock Prairie Road obtained videos showing Green assaulting an 81-year-old woman while trying to give her medication.

The facility told police Green had been suspended and was in the process of being fired from her job after they received the videos.

In the clips, police said they saw Green putting her knee into the patient’s side, sitting on her torso, poking her in the face and chest, and pouring water on the woman’s face while attempting to get her to take her medication. Police also said in the arrest report that Green was verbally taunting the woman laughing all the while.

Green was arrested this month and charged with Assault Against and Elderly Person, according to online jail records, and she was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
