Focus at Four: Political Scientist on Nikki Haley’s candidacy after New Hampshire
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – We will soon find out who the Republican Party will choose as their nominee for President.
Former President Donald Trump was victorious at the New Hampshire Primary with former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Hayley coming in second and she vows to stay in the race.
Political scientist Kirby Goidel from the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University joined First News at Four today and said that if Nikki Hayley can’t find solid ground in her home state, things aren’t looking promising for her chances at the Oval Office.
“If she makes it to South Carolina, the question is can she really run strong there? If she can’t run strong in South Carolina where she’s running, it’s game over,” said Goidel.
Previous Presidential candidates, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, have both endorsed Trump as their pick.
