First Responder Salute: Mark Donovan named Brenham’s Fire Chief
BRENHAM, Texas (KBTX) -The City of Brenham announced the appointment of the Brenham Fire Chief, Mark Donovan.
Donovan is a retired Assistant Chief of the Houston Fire Department where he worked for over 29 years.
He leaves his position as Assistant Chief with Harris County Emergency Services District 48 in Katy to serve as Brenham Fire Chief beginning June 3, 2024.
At the Harris County ESD he was responsible for the daily operations of the Fire Suppression Division, which included full-time, part-time, and volunteer firefighters. He directed the department’s Training Division and was responsible for the Fire Suppression Division’s planning, procurement, and budgeting.
Donovan and his wife, Diedra, relocated to Brenham in June of 2023.
