First Responder Salute: Bryan Crime Scene Investigator honored by U.S. Secret Service
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A local crime scene investigator received a huge national honor.
Rebecca Wendt with the Bryan Police Department was presented the National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI) Top Forensic Examiner Award by the United States Secret Service.
The NCFI is a program where local examiners are trained in techniques to obtain evidence from storage media, mobile devices, and hard drives. In 2023, over 3,800 examiners were participating in this program nationally. Crime Scene Investigator Wendt ranked in the top 1% of all NCFI examiners in the country.
