Farmers fight for United Way of the Brazos Valley

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Texas A&M is working to raise money for the United Way by holding an amateur boxing event at Reed Arena.

On April 4, Reed Arena will be home to the inaugural Farmers Fight Night, a student charity boxing event.

“It’s going to be the event of the year and we hope to see everyone come out and support these college students,” said Assistant Director of the Office of the Commandant, Steven Cheatham.

The event will showcase students across university organizations stepping into the ring all for a good cause.

“This is the end of year campaign wrap up for us so this is a big push and maybe we can give more money to the nonprofits next year,” said President and CEO of the United Way of the Brazos Valley, Peggi Goss.
