CSPD: Teen driver clocks 117 mph, arrested for DUI in College Station
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A Houston teen was arrested Monday morning for reportedly speeding and driving while under the influence.
According to College Station police, while on Highway 6 just before 1 a.m. Monday an officer clocked an 18-year-old driver going 117 mph when the speed limit was 70 mph.
After the driver was stopped in the 2020 Mustang, and questioned, police say the teen admitted to consuming alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
The teen was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
He was released Monday on a $300 bond.
Online records show the same teenager was arrested last year by College Station police in November 2023 on a charge of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
