CSPD: Man arrested after stealing mail from different properties in College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A man is facing charges of stealing mail and packages from multiple properties in College Station and then going to Arlington to sell the stolen merchandise.

Jonathan Thomas Dorsey, 39, was first arrested by police on Wednesday, April 10th while working at a construction site on Rock Prairie Road.

Police say surveillance cameras helped to identify Dorsey and the vehicle he used in the crimes.

During their investigation, police say he admitted to stealing 4 to 5 packages off the porches of homes in College Station since March and then taking the items to his home in Arlington where he would sell them.

He is facing four counts of mail theft and was released on bond Monday.

Waller County road reopened after truck gets stuck on train track
