CSHS Theater presents “Rock of Ages: Teen Edition”

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – College Station High School’s fine arts department is presenting ‘Rock of Ages: Teen Edition’ with four shows later this month.

The show features popular 1980′s hits, which all came out before the cast was born.

“My parents grew up, they were like teens, early 20s during the 80′s and they knew every single one of these songs,” Brayden Kissmann who plays Drew Boley said. “Being able to learn these songs and be able to think about how were people back in this time. It’s just a lot of fun.”

Performances begin on Thursday, Jan. 25, and Friday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. The four-show run ends with two performances Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The show follows characters Drew Boley and Sherrie Christian and their love story as they move to Los Angeles while two real estate agents, Hilda and Franz Klinemann work against allowing the Rock ‘n Roll music and lifestyle in the city.

During each of the performances, concessions will be available and attendees have the chance to buy Fan Mail for their favorite cast member or crew member.

“Parents, grandparents, people who are just coming to see the show can buy flowers, candy and cards to write to their favorite cast member or crew member,” Anamarie Walker who plays Hilda Klinemann said.

Advance tickets are available here. Prices are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

Tickets will also be available at the door for $20.
