Cooling centers available in Madison, Grimes Counties for residents without electricity

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Cooling centers are being opened in Madison and Grimes Counties, as crews work to restore power for residents and local businesses following Tropical Storm Beryl.

First Baptist Church of Madisonville has opened its doors to help those without electricity. They are also providing assistance for those who rely on home medical equipment and oxygen, and providing ways to recharge and power the equipment. The church is located at 300 S. Elm St.
