College Station Police make arrest on Northgate

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – College Station Police say they made an arrest Saturday morning on Northgate after a man allegedly pointed a gun at another person.

Police say it happened around 2:30 a.m.

The victim approached an officer and told them about what had happened.

A bicycle officer found the suspect’s car in the Chimy’s parking lot. They tried to detain the suspect, 30-year-old Bryan resident, Shaquan Ronald Rhoades, when he reportedly ignored the officer and drove off.

A CSPD patrol vehicle initiated a traffic stop and he stopped the car at the intersection of First Street and Louise. Rhoades and his two passengers were detained and police found a firearm.

Rhoades was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Disorderly Conduct by Displaying a Firearm, and Evading in a Vehicle.

The two passengers were released without charges.

Police say the victim suffered a minor injury from a physical assault.
