College Station Police Department hiring dispatchers
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Looking for a job where where you can serve your community? The City of College Station is hiring emergency dispatchers.
Officials with the College Station Police Department say they have ten public safety telecommunicator positions open.
Dispatchers answer emergency and non-emergency calls, and dispatch police officers, paramedics and firefighters.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. They also must have excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, and be available to work shift work, weekends and holidays.
A person who stays calm under pressure and knows their limits would also make a good dispatcher, according to CSPD.
