College Station man sentenced for aggravated robbery, gun possession

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A College Station man was sentenced to 50 years in prison following multiple convictions.

Keynaedrick Wheaton, 25, was sentenced to 30 years for two counts of Aggravated Robbery and 20 years for the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, according to the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said on June 13, 2022, Wheaton robbed two people in a vehicle who were going to buy drugs from him. During the robbery, Wheaton shot at the pair through the vehicle’s windshield. One of the victims was injured from broken glass.

Police later obtained a search warrant and found the gun used in the robbery along with several other firearms, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Wheaton has a lengthy criminal history including being convicted of theft as a juvenile, burglary of a building and criminal trespass.
