College Station Man arrested, accused of threatening Motel 6 staff

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A College Station man is behind bars for allegedly threatening to kill workers at Motel 6.

According to arrest reports, just after 7 a.m. Thursday, January 18, Travis Coler, 35, attempted to check into his reserved room at an earlier time than originally scheduled.

When staff refused, Coler reportedly became irate and told them “I will kill someone if I have to.” During the altercation, Coler claimed he was on the run for “killing his cousin.”

Coler was later arrested and charged with making terroristic threats.

He is being held at the Brazos County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
