College Station lineman critically injured on the job
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A lineman for College Station Utilities is in the hospital with critical injuries after being shocked on the job Monday morning.
The employee was working on electrical equipment near the Carter Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant around 9:30 a.m. when a high-voltage electric shock injured him, said a City of College Station spokesman.
Co-workers administered life-saving treatment with an on-site AED until College Station Fire Department personnel arrived, took over treatment, and transported him to a local hospital.
“The thoughts and prayers of CSU and City of College Station employees are with the lineman, his family, and co-workers,” said Public Communications Director Colin Killian.
The worker’s name is not being shared at this time.
