Caldwell prepares for 39th Kolache Festival
CALDWELL, Texas (KBTX) – Your opportunity to eat, shop, and be Czech in Caldwell for a day at its 39th annual Kolache Festival is coming up!
The festival is always the second Saturday in September, which is September 14 this year on the square in downtown Caldwell.
Admission is free and you’ll enjoy lots of attractions and homemade kolaches.
The opening ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. under the polka pavilion – located on Fox Street. It includes the crowning of Miss Kolache Festival, followed by the SPJST youth beseda dancers.
They’ll still have all the fun activities you have come to love like the kolache eating contest, kolache baking championship, a 5K Kolache Krunch run, and of course Polka music.
Plus, there will be arts, crafts, food booths, a quilt show, museums, street rods & classic car show, antique machinery and tractor show, and kids’ activity zone.
